The Nike Dunk is an institution in the sneaker world, a model that’s been going strong for over a quarter-century with well over that still left in the tank.  The Dunk is one of those foundational models that’s seen a bit of attention stolen by the newfangled lifestyle sneakers that’ve come onto the scene in the past couple years, and that’s where this newest custom release from  Pimp My Kicks  comes into play.  Handcrafted by Hollywood’s Oliver Moore Bootmakers, the  Nike Dunk Hybrid  Dress collection by PMK pairs rich mahogany and olive dress leather with black authentic alligator for a mere 5 pairs each of the ‘Spy’/wingtip and ‘Soldier’/captoe Highs along with the ‘Tailor’/penny loafer Lows and another lowtop that echoes the ‘Golf Pack’ Dunk Low SB’s tassled lace cover

The annual NFL Pro Bowl tradition has spawned quite a number of sick PE colorways of the Nike Dunk Low ’2011 Pro Bowl’ of last year (although sadly, it never released).

Following up on our most recent preview of the  Nike Dunk Low  comes another pair that should hit retailers here in the States within the next few weeks. These utilize the same exact colorblocking pattern and distribution of materials as the yellow and navy blue edition, but achieve a much different effect thanks to a reversal of the saturation of overlay vs underlay sections. A stronger foreground in rich burgundy leather in addition to black Swooshes and heel badges gives these a decidedly more aggressive feel, but both designs will find their fair share of applications within a decently varied wardrobe

Over the course of its quarter-century in the game, the  Nike Dunk  has released in probably more white-midsoled colorways than all the other versions combined, so how do you get some extra life out of such a standby blocking option? How about a vibrant outsole with another exuberant shade on the midsole stitch for good measure? That’s exactly what we’ve got here with this new  Dunk Low GS , a model whose Metallic Silver and white upper is ever so slightly feminine when paired with the aforementioned Bright Turquoise and Laser Pink accents.

Luckily, Nike Sportswear never fails to satisfy your tiny sneakerheads with a variety of playful looks, the latest more along the lines of something to match their dress-up gear for picture day

Given that the word ‘Aztec’ itself is something of a loose identifier used to describe a variety of 14th-16th century Mexican ethnic groups, it seems fitting that the Nike Sportswear collection inspired by their signature aesthetics seems to be growing organically and without a concrete limit. The latest addition to NSW’s  Aztec Pack  is this new  Nike Dunk Low  that offers a slightly different take on the same Ironstone, Grain and Imperial Blue palette we just saw on an Air Max 1 release. The key difference, silouhette aside, is the use of a blue Swoosh on these instead of beige on the AM1s, a shift that has these feeling a bit more vibrant than the comparatively earthy ’87.

Beefed up Lava Dunk hybrid release notwithstanding, it’s been nearly a year and a half since we’ve seen a new Nike Dunk drop featuring  ripstop nylon on the upper .  Perhaps Nike Sportswear was looking to make up for the absence, as this new  Nike Dunk Low  is completely covered in the stuff, a suede quarter panel the only thing stopping this entire shoe from having a gridded texture.  Click through to see some closeups of this entirely red Dunk Low and stick with Sneaker News for updates on this incredibly intense design.

Ever since the passing of the ‘King Of Pop’ , prices of Michael Jackson memorabilia have skyrocketed, leaving the lucky owners with the tough decision to sell or hold. We’ve seen a ton of MJ goodies pop up for auction and at sneaker conventions (like at the 2011 Cincy Sneaker Showcase ), but have you ever seen these Michael Jackson Nike Dunk Lows?

Nike iD will have undergone a thorough overhauling with their material swatches and color palette by the end of the Fall 2011 season, and thankfully the Nike Dunk won’t excluded in this rejuvenation. Here’s a look at some completed Nike iD samples of the Nike Dunk Low and High Premium; available this July 19th is the use of denim twill and corduroy as well as the classic flat leather and suede, with the combination of choice being solely up to the iD-er.
