Nike LeBron 9 iD – New Options On The Way

Listen up, LeBron lovers!  Nike’s been relatively quiet on the Valentine’s Day-themed sneaker front this year, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be gifted a tasty treat.   Coming up on V-Day  (the same day as the Air Jordan 2012 iD launch),  NIKEiD  will offer a series of new options on the  Nike LeBron 9  Limited iD; what exactly will that mean?  Right off the bat, we’ve not seen the ‘Limited’ tag before, so that likely represents both a premium construction and small quantities available, but we’re all left wondering what kinds of things to expect next week.

Nike Air Force 1 Low – Jersey Gold – Sport Red – Denim

One of Nike Sportswear’s biggest hits of 2011 was an Air Force 1 Low Premium cast in denim with golden accents plus all the detailing of a finely crafted pair of raw Japanese selvage.  So what happens when you take that formula and invert it, making gold the dominant color and switching denim to select accent hits?  Only good things, as evidenced by this new Nike Air Force 1 Low in Jersey Gold with Sport Red accents, a look that utilizes a denim-like twill on its underlay while smooth leather rests on top

Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Shark’ – Available @ Eastbay

Kobe Bryant was ‘supposed’ to match Michael Jordan’s six championship rings and two three-peats last season, but instead, the Black Mamba is back in the hunt for that elusive one for the other thumb against an array of hungry young talent unmatched during his time in the league.  Kobe will need all the help he can get without Lamar Odom or Dwight Howard, so having an ally in something as ferocious as a great white shark certainly wouldn’t hurt to have at your disposal.

Nike Zoom Kobe VII ‘Wolf’ – Another Look

Kobe Bryant has at times been accused of being a lone wolf, an assassin-type whose main concern is his own dominance, and who will let once-in-a-lifetime partnerships fall to the wayside at the expense of ego games.  But Kobe proved to be a consummate leader in guiding the Los Angeles Lakers to two championships in the late ’00s, and has established himself as the greatest Laker of all time, even in the eyes of ‘The Big AARP’ to whom we alluded.

Air Jordan IV – Black – Blue – Orange

It’ll take a few more good looks of this upcoming Air Jordan IV Retro release to determine whether or not it will be a success, because our readers have made some interesting notes in regards to the colorways. Why a ‘Knicks’ colorway , when they were one of the Bulls’ biggest rivals in the 90′s? Other rumors state that these are a Cleveland Cavaliers colorway (we know MJ absolutely torched the Cavs when they were Playoff contenders), but the overall response hasn’t been a clean sweep of praise

Vans Sk8-Hi ‘Suede Pack’

Vans just showed off a black suede and blue canvas ‘Two Tone’ pack for spring , and they could have just as easily applied that name to this latest trio of releases on their most famous hightop silhouette.  The Vans Sk8-Hi trio pictured above opts for the equally inert label ‘Suede Pack’ instead, even for one pair that looks like it was borrowed from the aforementioned set to equal out both packs’ numbers

For a set of sneakers that seems destined to never get near retail, the Air Jordan ‘History of Flight’ sure has popped up with a bunch of available pairs this month.  So not only are we approaching the release of a white Air Jordan XI Low that was done in a similar style, but pairs of the super-exclusive red-on-white Air Jordan IVs and XIVs have popped up on eBay in the past week-plus

Air Jordan 2012 Media Launch

Jordan Brand is well known for pulling out all the stops for the launch of a new flagship model, and this year’s Air Jordan 2012 media unveiling was certainly no exception. Sneaker News was fortunate to be part of a select group of media picked up this morning and driven to a mystery location for the event. The cars eventually pulled up to a hangar in New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport with a large metallic Jumpman logo on the side of the building leaving little doubt that we had arrived at our destination
