Being that both models carry roughly the same silhouette, there’s naturally some confusion between the Nike Blazer Mid and High.

The Nike Blazer Vintage is one of those pillars of the Nike Sportswear catalog that you can count on pretty much every quarter since they debuted in early 2009. The formula to this point had been simple enough: combine a single-colored suede (or leather, in the case of just two pairs) upper with a leather Swoosh plus pre-yellowed laces and soles (all in Sail), apply the VNTG tag and you’re good to go. But what would happen if several of the recent releases were combined into one

The first set of Nike Blazer Low Suede Vintage colorways released this July in some appropriately patriotic colorways, but what shold we expect from Nike Sportswear now that the red-white-and-blue holidays are out of the way?

The Nike Blazer VNTG series has become a popular staple from Nike Sportswear over the past few years and this fall saw a couple of notable changes.  The most recent drops were the first Vintage Blazer Highs to come with tonal laces and tongues and saw the initial Blazer Low VNTG releases.  These two colorways for next summer keep the same tonal tongue/white laces look as those recent lowtops, black and Varsity Red keeping things about as simple as you could want, with the typical VNTG pre-yellowing some have called superfluous absent on these.

Here’s another unofficial ‘pack’ from Nike Sportswear, a collection of Nike Blazers with similar design cues but haven’t been unified with a common inspiration or referential theme.  These Blazer Lows keep it basic by offering two-toned colorways atop white soles, their uppers divided between a base color on the side panels and an accent shade on the toe, tongue and heel tab.  The almost hiking-style corded laces are quite distinct but the most distinguishing feature on this set would have to be the deep perforations that make up their Swooshes, a series of circular punches that goes so far as to reveal your choice of socks.  Today we have new images of the red/white pair we showed you last week along with a new edition in grey/black, so click through to see both and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates.  via EST Premium Nike Blazer Low Varsity Red/Light Bone 371760-601 Matte Silver/Black 371760-014 Read the rest of Nike Blazer Low – Perforated Swoosh Pack © Sneaker News , 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us

With one each for men and women, the Nike Blazer Mid went in an interesting new direction this spring.  Those two pairs offered their Swooshes in the form of perforations that completely pierce the uppers to reveal your feet/socks, and now this motif has carried over to a new Blazer Low from Nike Sportswear .  These joints feature the same color and material blocking including a nubby woven textile on the eyelets, tongue and toe plus a smooth-walled white vulcanized sole.  They mix red and white for a crisp and vibrant look, of which you can see more photos after the jump.  Click through to get a better look and check for these at select NSW retailers today.  via HB Read the rest of Nike Blazer Low – Red – White – Perforated Swoosh © Sneaker News , 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us

Nike Sportswear loves to make your decisions tough by offering tons of dope looks and here are three new colorways of the Nike Blazer Low ’09 so equally impressive that you might have a hard time choosing between them.  This trio keeps it as simple as possible with a monochromatic canvas upper adding a tonal leather Swoosh plus a contrasting kickplate on the front of an otherwise white sole.  And each adds just a hint of color to the tongue so your purple pair has a pink hit while the greens are just perfect for St. Patty’s Day with their golden branding.  Check out all three after the jump and pre-order in advance of the February release courtesy of CrookedTongues. Nike Blazer Low was first created in 1972 as a basketball sneaker and was worn by Geoff Petrie and the “Ice Man”, George Gervin. They were created because their unique design, light weight, and height, gave players ankle support. Today the Nike Blazers are available in many different styles and the colorways seem neverending.
