While the fellas get to go wild this weekend selecting pairs from the NFL Draft Day pack , Nike is holding the ladies down as well with this WMNS exclusive set, the latest in their long standing partnership with Liberty of London. The Liberty x Nike WMNS April 2012 releases lean heavy towards the retro end, with sportswear gems like the Nike Air Max 1 , the Nike Cortez , and the extra tall Nike Dunk Sky High all getting the trademark floral treatment. Also thrown in the mix is the Nike Free 5.0 , a more functional runner for the contemporary crowd.

Japan’s mita sneakers is set to launch a fairly extensive list of Nike Sportswear Air Max runners and their offspring on Saturday, April 28th, and the most recent revelation isn’t just a pair that they’ll get before US retailers, but rather, one that was crafted by mita for mita.  These new mita sneakers x Nike Air Max+ 95 BBs are dubbed ‘Neo Escape 2.0′ in reference to the continuation of a theme begun back in 2006, but the color scheme is decidedly different this time around and there’s no word as of yet of other pairs joining the party.  Check out the ‘Neo Escape 2.0′ Air Max+ 95 BB after the jump and let us know if these are now on your must-import list

Will the Nike Air Max+ 95 BB ever release in its original form’s OG ‘grey-dient’ motif?  The look that’s been a standard for Sergio Lozano’s masterpiece for nearly two decades has been entirely absent from the Hyperfuse-constructed, full-length Max Air-cushioned update, but it’s hard to complain when new styles like this help to unlock some of the AM95′s hidden potential

The original Air Max 97 design was entirely cast in synthetics, the first such departure from traditional leathers and suedes after models like the Air Max 1, 90 and 95 came equipped with those old school defaults.  That means it’s closer to today’s Hyperfuse hybrids without warranting an upgrade, and this unique position has the AM97 poised for a victory lap in a decidedly casual form.  The Nike Air Max 97 CVS gets back to the roots of athletic shoe manufacturing with a simple single-colored canvas upper contrasted by a white sole, but the nearly no-sew heat-bonded construction and that sole’s full-length Max Air cushion leave these feeling modern and technically proficient.

LeBron James  has a pair of Air Forces on the way, why not Maxes too?  Just days before the King James/Black Mamba Pack of Air Force 1s hits retailers this Saturday, we have a look at a  Nike Air Max+ 2012  that’s arguably even more custom tailored to LeBron.  The relatively simple white-on-red design evokes memories of the recent ‘Christmas Day’ Nike LeBron drops while the ‘LJ’ crown insignia on the heels applies the finishing touch on a design that’s just as ‘Cincinnati’ as it is MIA

Late last week, Sneaker News showed you three different Nike Air Max Quickstrikes decked out in the colors of the Olympic Flag , the shared color scheme among these Hyperfuse-uppered lowtops sufficient evidence to conclude they’re part of a larger whole.

As sneaker designers have come to show greater respect for tonal depth in recent years, we’ve seen this attention even lavished on ‘non-colors’ like white, grey and black. The last of those is the basis of a combination quite frequently applied to the Nike Air Max 90 in various ways, this  new black and Anthracite pair  keeping things simple with just a bit of white on the laces and midsole to satisfy this season’s biggest single trend. These offer an alternative to the traditional all-white summertime sneaker and they’re available now at Nike Sportswear dealers like  Oneness

We’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Nike’s plans for the 2012 Olympic summer, and while the nostalgia associated with the Dream Team releases is growing to off-the-charts levels, one need only remember how much ground Lunar foam has covered since ’08 to recognize that it’s the cutting edge performance models that really shine on the stage of international competition.

We told you a couple of months back that this late 90′s trainer was on its way to a retro release beginning this summer, and as it turns out now the treatment will continue well into the end of 2012 with the stealthy colorway shown here.
