If you’ve been keeping in touch with the flow of Nike Air Max 95 ′s as of late, this set up should be familiar. We’ve seen the blocking in both a volt and action red pair , and this WMNS release continues to kick things up with the flashy accent colors. The pair grabs the so-called siren red, and we see the burning shade cover the lining and drip down the lace placket, showing up on the side swoosh and a bit on bottom as well to tie things together

If you check back in our archives over the last couple of months, you’ll notice a particular aversion towards the OG grey-dient look for the Nike Air Max 95 . In the absence of that iconic set up there have been a gang of other colorways vying for your attention, some of them putting a darker twist on the look , and some opting for a more solid blocking overall .

The original Black/Grey/Volt colorway of the Nike Air Max 95 has been copied over to countless other Nike models over the last seventeen years, but like how a suit is tailored to one distinct person, so does Black/Grey/Volt fit perfectly for the Air Max 95. Even when the colorway is slightly reshuffled, it still looks amazing, and this Black/Volt colorway which has been previewed on Sneaker News before has garnered some positive reaction (and rightfully so).

The tonal-upper paired with a secondary colorway on the outsole and Max Air unit ain’t nuthin’ new for the Nike Air Max 95 , as we’ve seen a bunch of similarly blocked colorways from the early ’00s. The ‘Michigan’ joints, the WMNS Grey/Hot Pink releases, and a slew of other two-toned ninety-fives have gained a ‘classic’ status over the years, so perhaps this March 2012 colorway will see the same fate

Any sneakerhead worth his salt is by now familiar with the OG  Nike Air Max 95  color scheme and blocking pattern that starts with a white tongue and laces and descends through several shades of gray along the way to white, picking up a single accent color along the way. It’s one of those looks that’s a pillar of Nike Sportswear’s retro catalog, but NSW has also been dabbling quite a bit in  Halloween-leaning looks  of late. Following a Bright Mandarin release in a near-OG style and a release more similar to this one from JD sports in mid-fall comes this new Air Max 95 with no white whatsoever, plus black-striped orange eyelets.

The original colorway of the Nike Air Max 95 has transcended a number of footwear genres and generations to be established one of the greatest sneaker color-combinations in history (even other shoe companies use it).

Could these be the ‘Un-Doernbecher’ Air Max 95 ? It certainly has that patriotic colorway to it, and a quick lace-swap to white (or even gold, if you have that at your disposable) would create a sick USA-inspired rendition of the Air Max 95

When a new colorway of an Air Max 95 rolls around, it always garners a ton of attention. We all know what the shoe looks like, and it’s been around for over a quarter-century, but that’s just the nature of ‘the icon’ – it demands attention

If there’s one thing that England’s JD Sports does better than any other European retailer, it’s exclusive colorways for classic runners that stop just short of being labeled ‘collaborations’.  The latest Only-at-JDs are the epitome of the above referenced trend, a Nike Air Max 95 that prominently features dark shades of blue.  This one’s just a single lighter shade away from drawing comparisons to the legndary Stash-authored releases from the mid/late ’00s, the kind of look that’s sure to draw its fair share of passionate sneakerheads and casual buyers alike

The Nike Air Max 95 was a curious omission from Nike Sportswear’s VacTech collection this fall, especially considering its ‘muscle fibers’ design is already somewhat molded and would likely easily transition to vacuum construction.  But that’s not to say that the sixteen year veteran won’t be showing off a few design variations of its own soon, like the Hyperfuse-d Air Max 95 360 and this other new version above.
