Air Force 1 devotees and fans of the Air Jordan Legacy will be getting together this February, and no, we’re not talking about a sneakerhead speed dating event.  This match made in heaven isn’t a romance in the traditional sense, but rather a marriage of classic styles when the  Nike Air Force 1 iD  debuts its Elephant print options come next month.

Much of the attention surrounding top-notch Air Force 1s this month has come from the Bespoke experience at 21 Mercer in New York, where not only do innovative new combinations of colors and materials seem to pop up each day, but also a new super-premium Vachetta leather edition that takes the Uptown to new handcrafted heights. But don’t think just because all that iD goodness is going around, that Nike Sportswear forgot how to put a deluxe twist on its basketball pillar. This new Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme is obviously a quality product from the second you lay eyes on it, the Red Mahogany leather upper offering a wide range of tones thanks to its grainy texture

We’ve been showing you tons of Nike Sportswear previews for the Spring 2012 season in recent weeks here on Sneaker News, and while there have been plenty of  Nike Air Force 1s  previewed, the vast majority have been lowtops.  So not only is this  new Air Force 1 High  a blessing for fans of its three-decade-aged ankle-strapped perfection, but this new colorway offers a refreshing twist on an old classic

As we mentioned earlier when we showed you the sweet Burgundy/Gum Air Force 1 High , the autumn weather demands seasonal colorways, but you’ll see a higher frequency of high-cut sneakers. The low-tops are a thing for the summer, and Air Force 1 High is a common shoe during the colder, crisper months, and this new AF1 High release, which features two types of two-toned blocking (Obsidian and White, alternate perforations) might be one of the easiest pick-ups of the month. With Air Force 1′s, you can’t ever go wrong with these types of simple colorways, and as baseball postseason starts to heat up, expect these Uptowns to be rocked freely…uptown, where the New York Yankees are the talk of the town.  Extra Butter has ‘em in stock, so check out the pics below and cop a pairr now on eBay

These may be a general release, but a shoe like this could have been, at one point, an idea for a Bespoke. There are many sneakerheads out there who go for the tonal-upper look, and this particular pair of GRs combines materials that we don’t really see on the Air Force 1 – nubuck suede on the heel and swoosh, rugged canvas at the front.

Last year we saw the release of the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Five Boroughs’ Pack , a set of New York flavored sneaks dedicated to the urban landscape of the Big Apple. Here we have an Air Force 1 High that seems to pay homage to NYC in a subtler way, with a Yankees like colorway of Obsidian/Grey/White.

The Nike Air Force 1 has enjoyed a renaissance over the past year-plus, and you can roughly divide the top releases in that period into hybrid updates and super-simple classic designs.  The former class includeds standouts like the Air Force 1 High Foamposite, Duck and Work Boots and the soon-to-release Hyperfuse edition, but the pair pictured above shows that the latter group is still going just as strong.  Check out this Air Force 1 High in an impeccably simple red-on-white getup.  They’re just the kind of no-nonsense summer shoe you need to carry you though the dog days and you’ll find them at select Nike Sportswear retailers like Villa starting Saturday, June 11th. The Nike Air Force 1 High is one shoe that deserves a weight reduction. It’s a bit of a heavy, bulky shoe, so a liposuction of sorts is one cosmetic alteration we’d all love to see, so long as the original silhouette remains the same. Here’s another look at the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 High Hyperfuse ; it features the thin material on the upper with the Fuse mesh on the toebox and center panel, with a perforated tongue and a lightweight ankle strap
