Ray Allen is so famous for his work ethic that motivational speakers make note of the fact that he still arrives at the arena three hours before every game, even sixteen years into his Hall of Fame career.

The thought of an ‘asterisk’ has been thrown around in 2012 NBA Playoff conversations for a number of reason. Derrick Rose, the reigning MVP, was done after just one game of the Playoffs, and the season itself was shortened by 16 games with a schedule far more condensed. Despite what went down, the Philadelphia Sixers (8 seed) defeated the Rose-less Chicago Bulls (1 seed) in six games, with a Game 6 sealed by Andre Iguodala who displayed one of his best games of the year, contributing 20 points, 7 dimes, and 4 boards while hitting the game-winning free throws at the end.

The Reebok Question and Allen Iverson chat has been heating up on Sneaker News, and with the confirmation of a release for later this month, the excitement over one of the most iconic basketball shoes of the 90′s (and perhaps all time) is boiling up to one of Reebok’s best releases of the year.

A quick recap of one of the NBA’s greatest offseasons in history: in 2007, the Boston Celtics acquired Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen for what would amount to be ten players in total (both active and in the form of draft picks), and immediately, the moving of the chesspieces worked. Boston won an NBA Title at season’s end, and both Ray and KG, both considered two of the best to never have won a ‘chip, were no longer part of that category and essentially made the final, definitive point in the case of Hall of Fame induction.

If you need some proof that Chris Paul is a different man once he steps on the NBA court, just take a look at a last night’s game, when he led the Clippers to a win by scoring 8 points in the OT period. The moment he steps off the court, he’s back to his jovial self, and that observation serves as the inspiration of the Jordan CP3.V ‘Jekyll & Hyde’ Pack that Sneaker News first gave you a look at in January . Right now is the perfect time to get in the CP3.V groove because four total colorways are releasing tomorrow; the Jekyll & Hyde Pack, which are built by inverse colorways of one another, and the Home and Away colorways of the Playoffs editions

It’s been all but silent since we saw the ‘Galaxy’ NBA All-Star PE back in February , but that doesn’t mean the Nike Zoom Hyperenforcer is done for the season. Quite to the contrary, in fact, as this rugged Hyperfuse design is well-equipped to handle the rigors of summertime streetball. These Wolf Grey Hyperenforcers add Solar Red and Concord accents for a wild look that’ll turn heads in the heat, but it’s the XDR outsole that’ll keep these around through the dog days.

Nike Basketball has enjoyed a wildly season despite fewer NBA games, everything from standout college PEs to an All-Star weekend frenzy and now a mortal lock that one of its stars will be hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy.  But one look at the sneaker pictured above will bring serious questions into the mind of anyone old enough to remember its debut; might the 1996-97 season have been even ‘Elite’-er?

The NBA Playoffs are in full swing, the Olympics are a few months away, and the Summer months are around the corner – things are heating up on Sneaker News! We got a first detailed look at the Air Jordan VII ‘Gold Medal’ of the ‘Gold Medal Pack’ this week, and a new colorway of the Son Of Mars popped up as well. Spike Lee has been an anchor in the Jordan game, but he changed that up by showing off a sick Air Foamposite One PE earlier this week and wore them for Game 3 of the Knicks/Heat series.

LeBron James isn’t a native of the state, but he’s certainly been given honorary status as a Floridian in his short time there as he led the Miami Heat back to the NBA Finals in just his first season there. While the ‘South Beach’ was enough to solidify LeBron’s allegiance with Miami, it’s time for a new colorway to pop up in that lineage – and there’s no better than the ‘Floridians’ to carry that torch.
