There’s no place like home, right? LeBron James and Dwyane Wade led the Miami Heat to a win over the Melo-less New York Knicks last night while debuting new ‘Home’-inspired colorways of their signature kicks.

We’ve already pondered a possible scenario involving LeBron James taking his talents to the Cleveland Browns, but what if he chose to play for another pro-sports team in Cleveland? While pure athleticism doesn’t necessarily translate into success in baseball, seeing LeBron roam the outfield with Grady Sizemore would either result in a rock-solid defense, or an insane amount of dropped pop-flys. LeBron would’ve looked sleek in the outfield, especially in these PE Cleats made from the Nike Air Max LeBron VII , only the Air Max upper has been replaced by a cleated outsole to help dig his 260 lb.

The Nike Air Foamposite series has undoubtedly been Nike Sportswear’s biggest retro hit over the past few years, and there are several solid colorways on tap for 2012.  So given that LeBron James is arguably the Swoosh’s biggest star, and that Penny Hardaway is already known to be  one of his heroes , it’s only right that we’d see King James add a pair to his impressive stockade of exclusive designs.  This  Nike Air Fomposite One  LeBron James PE goes the simplest route possible, adding a translucent sole to a black upper that’s seen LBJ’s lion insignia supplant the familiar ’1c’ Penny logo for a look that thoroughly refreshes this model in its 15th year.

Another great weekend of NBA sports was filled out by the collection of NBA games that went down from Friday to Sunday, and mixed in was a ton of great NBA Feet action from some common names that have popped up this season. Monta Ellis brought something new to his repertoire by wearing the Air Jordan XIII ‘Flint’, while Washington’s Jordan Crawford continued his Air Jordan VII agenda by wearing the Air Jordan VII ‘Cardinal’.

A freak of physical nature can only be born out of a cosmological event like the Big Bang, making the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Big Bang’ a fitting colorway for the Nike LeBron 9. Say what you will about his on-court success or shortcomings – there is nobody else in NBA history built like LeBron James .

The Miami Heat had a Wednesday night date with the upstart Los Angeles Clippers, and the star of the former showed up with some bright new shoes – a Black/Red PE colorway of the Nike LeBron 9 . It perfectly matched the Heat’s ‘Away’ get-ups with color-blocking that can be described as a re-done version of the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Ohio State’ – one of the three College colorways that dropped months ago. Unfortunately for Miami fans, the Clippers cooled off the Heat, but LeBron could’ve iced the game had he gone two-for-two at the stripe (he missed one go-ahead free-throw with five seconds left in regulation).

It appears that LeBron James has his own special nickname for the upcoming Nike LeBron 9 ‘Dunkman’ – the ‘Swag’ 9s. This year’s Dunkman release features the familiar Dark Grey/Neon Green theme with the now-trademark logo on the mini badges on the heel of the shoe, but on these on-feet images (on LeBron’s feet, if that matters) reveal a sparkly, glittery finish on the upper Hyperfuse/Flywire shell. We already showed you some nice profile shots, which showed a speckled midsole and the vibrant green on the outsole, Max Air unit, midfoot wing, and signature, but these aerial shots provide the best POV for when you’re actually wearing them – and that’s what matters the most! Check out an additional angle below and let us know if these are a must-have for you, and be sure to stick with Sneaker News for more LeBron 9 updates.

LeBron James was rewarded the league’s Most Valuable Player Award for the 2009-10 NBA Season, but we all know that impressive accomplishment was overshadowed by another piece of news. While an Air Max LeBron VII ‘MVP’ Edition was created, they never hit the market (officially) as anything LeBron + Cleveland was considered an ill pairing during the sensitive post-’Decision’ time.

LeBron James is kicking off the 2011-12 NBA Season with back-to-back on-court wears of two high-energy colorways of the Nike LeBron 9. He started things off with the ‘Christmas’ on the Sunday, and followed that up with the Nike LeBron 9 ‘Freegums’ , which is actually a special release commemorating his birthday, which falls this Friday, December 30th. The Freegums, of course, is especially distinguished for its detailed graphic on the inner lining as well as the tonal print on the Hyperfuse shell upper; it’s a nice home-grown touch to the Nike LeBron, as Freegums is an artist of the local scene in Miami
