If you’ve been keeping in touch with the flow of Nike Air Max 95 ′s as of late, this set up should be familiar. We’ve seen the blocking in both a volt and action red pair , and this WMNS release continues to kick things up with the flashy accent colors. The pair grabs the so-called siren red, and we see the burning shade cover the lining and drip down the lace placket, showing up on the side swoosh and a bit on bottom as well to tie things together

Taking nothing away from the specacular technological innovations the series has spearheaded in recent years, but it’s been a few years since a signature colorway for the ages has emerged.  Each year’s AM flagship raises the bar in comfort and performance, but with legends like the ‘Infrared’ Air Max 90 and ‘Neon’ Air Max 95 having laid the very foundation of the sneaker scene we know inhabit, it’s pretty difficult to make that same kind of impact that’ll have sneakerheads talking about a release for decades to come. But we might just have something of that cailber with this new  Nike Air Max+ 2012  in white, black,  Volt and University Red

The original tag line for the debut of the Nike Air Max 1 was “Nike Air is not shoe”. Twenty-five years later, that notion holds true, because Air Max – aside from its performance value – has driven the sneaker game into collector madness with its classics taking the spotlight front and center. Many will confess to owning multiple pairs of Air Max 1s, 90s, and 95s, but let’s not forget that Air Max went beyond the confines or running and into training and basketball, creating its own legacy within each individual sport.

There’s no doubt that the Nike Air Max 95 look most near and dear to the hearts of sneakerheads is the ‘greydient’ one of the OG batch , but that doesn’t mean you should be turning a blind eye to everything else.

Nike Sportswear’s philosophy is that all sneakerheads should have multiple pairs of Air Max 1s, Air Max 90s, and Air Max 95s in their rotations.

A look back through the history of JD Sports-exclusive  Nike Air Max 95s  reveals a distinct trend.  The vast majority of these colorways are dark, many black, and most featuring at least one shade of blue.  These  new JD-onlys  fit right in that category with a modified gradient that goes from black to light grey and back again, top to bottom.

One of Nike Basketball’s greatest creation of the 2000′s will return in 2012 – the Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 . Sneakerheads and ball-players alike called Eric Avar’s Zoom Huarache 2K4 one of the greatest of all-time thanks to the OG-inspired design and full-length Zoom Air/carbon fiber shank combo

Any sneakerhead worth his salt is by now familiar with the OG  Nike Air Max 95  color scheme and blocking pattern that starts with a white tongue and laces and descends through several shades of gray along the way to white, picking up a single accent color along the way. It’s one of those looks that’s a pillar of Nike Sportswear’s retro catalog, but NSW has also been dabbling quite a bit in  Halloween-leaning looks  of late. Following a Bright Mandarin release in a near-OG style and a release more similar to this one from JD sports in mid-fall comes this new Air Max 95 with no white whatsoever, plus black-striped orange eyelets.

It doesn’t take too many years of sneakerhead experience to recognize that the Air Max 95 is an easy #1 when it comes to white/grey/black combos accented with neon, but here’s proof that one of the older models can handle this kind of palette extremely well in its own right. The Nike Air Max 90 pictured above so perfectly nails the early ’90s high energy vibe that you might expect it could be an OG, but not even new kid status could prevent this from being one of the best new AM90 colorups released in all of 2011. Check them out in more detail when you click on the jump below, let us know how they compare to the beloved Neon AM95s, and get ready for 2012 with a pre-order of this January release from End .
