The people have spoken: the Air Jordan 2011 is a hit. With a proper roll-out with the Air Jordan 2011 Year of the Rabbit and a slew of sick regional-inspired releases during the NBA All-Star Weekend , the Air Jordan 2011 was certainly a nice rebound from the Air Jordan 2009 and Air Jordan 2010 – two great shoes that did not translate well on store shelves.

It’s been an exciting year for Oregon Ducks athletics; its football team played for the National Championship while sporting some sweet Air Jordan IX PEs during the pre-game Media Day, and the men’s Basketball team got to play on a brand new basketball court designed by Tinker Hatfield while wearing some of the latest Nike gear to date.

The Nike LeBron signature line made the jump from Zoom to Air Max in 2009 with the introduction of the Air Max LeBron VII , and although last year’s Zoom Soldier IV features visible Max Air, it didn’t carry on the surname. For the Soldier V , the transformation is complete, as the upcoming fifth installment of the non-signature LeBron basketball shoe adopts ‘Air Max’ in its nomenclature, and for good reason. A quick look at the outsole of the Soldier V and you’ll note that it’s nearly the same as the Soldier IV, but the upper design performs a complete 180-degree turn

This weekend brought a new batch of NBA news, hot topics, and of course, kicks on the hardwood. The Miami Heat are red-hot and sizzling, Javale McGee proved once again that he’s not as good as he thinks he is, and Blake Griffin continued his highlight reel. Some of the notable sneakers of the weekend included the Nike LeBron 8 , worn by LeBron James, Nate Robinson, and Courtney Lee, Dwyane Wade’s Air Jordan 2010 PE, Chris Paul’s CP3.IV , and Kevin Durant’s KD III .
