Dwayne Wade’s various allegiances seem to line up quite nicely. As a Chicago native and Miami representative, any combo of black, red, and white is a nod to both where he’s been and where he’s going.

The Air Jordan XX and XX3 mashup that is the Jordan Icons played a significant role in the 2009-10 NBA season. A large number of Jordan Brand ballers were spotted wearing them during the regular season after Gerald Wallace debuted a navy blue patent leather edition in the Slam Dunk contest, guards Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson and Ray Allen wearing them throughout the playoffs.

Last year’s Jordan Brand Quai 54 Streetball Tournament was a star-studded and action-packed event as the tournament, which featured special musical guests Fat Joe and NBA superstars Chris Paul, ended with the Paris streetball team taking the crown. This year’s festivities is slated to be just as fun-filled, thanks to the hype generated by the upcoming Air Jordan V ‘Quai 54′ , which is set to release in limited numbers sometime soon. The White/Black/Radiant Green colorway appears to be the official banner colors for this year’s event, which leads us to wonder what other Jordan Brand footwear models will pop up because for the 2010 Quai 54, we saw a Jordan Team ISO as well as an Air Jordan 2010 surface in addition to the released Air Jordan IX .

“To receive my first signature shoe with Jordan Brand is a dream come true.” Dwyane Wade never has been shy about his desire to carry the Jumpman torch.  Why else would he have left Converse where he was the sole superstar endorser to join a company that features a relatively large group of elite talents, not to mention the burden of following in Michael Jordan’s footsteps.  But Wade has performed admirably in the flagship Air Jordan 2010 and 2011 so it’s time for him to move on to Jordan Brand’s lightest basketball sneaker ever, the Air Jordan Fly Wade .  Sneaker News brought you the exclusive unveiling from Miami on Monday and now you can learn more about D-Wade’s personal connection to the Air Jordan Legacy and his first signature sneaker.  When you click on the jump below, you’ll see a video in its entirety that discusses among other topics Wade’s first pair of Jays as a high school baller, his personal feelings on being a part of Jordan Brand and of course, his thoughts on finally having a JB sig.  Have a look at the video, let us know what you think of the new Jordan Fly Wade and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the upcoming releases. Earlier today, Jordan Brand held an event at the luxurious Setai Hotel in Miami to officially introduce Dwyane Wade’s first signature Jordan shoe . Media was brought to a suite where in addition to a showcase displaying four upcoming colorways of the Jordan Fly Wade , Dwyane and footwear designer extraordinaire, Mark Smith, were on hand to discuss the details of the shoe and the process behind it. Wade, who signed with Jordan Brand in July of 2009, has been proudly carrying the Jordan flag by wearing the Air Jordan 2010 and 2011 the past two seasons, but we all knew it was only a matter of time before we saw D-3 get his very own shoe.

The people have spoken: the Air Jordan 2011 is a hit. With a proper roll-out with the Air Jordan 2011 Year of the Rabbit and a slew of sick regional-inspired releases during the NBA All-Star Weekend , the Air Jordan 2011 was certainly a nice rebound from the Air Jordan 2009 and Air Jordan 2010 – two great shoes that did not translate well on store shelves.
