Listen up, LeBron lovers!  Nike’s been relatively quiet on the Valentine’s Day-themed sneaker front this year, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be gifted a tasty treat.   Coming up on V-Day  (the same day as the Air Jordan 2012 iD launch),  NIKEiD  will offer a series of new options on the  Nike LeBron 9  Limited iD; what exactly will that mean?  Right off the bat, we’ve not seen the ‘Limited’ tag before, so that likely represents both a premium construction and small quantities available, but we’re all left wondering what kinds of things to expect next week.

If their  Valentine’s Day 2012  output is any indication of things to come, be on the lookout for something like a hundred thousand color- and otherwise-themed packs from Supra this summer.  The Crown brand has been cranking up the holiday-style releases just like all the other brands, so going from a single release last year to now five this time around is the kind of thing that’ll have you expecting big things from their catalog as the year progresses.  Joining the ‘V-Day’ Vaiders and ‘Heartbreaker II’ Societys is a trio of red Satin TUF models including the brand’s foundational silhouette, the  Supra Skytop

The Nike Zoom Hyperenforcer ‘Think Pink’ is one of those odd sneakers that men have zero qualms about wearing.

One of Nike Sportswear’s biggest hits of 2011 was an Air Force 1 Low Premium cast in denim with golden accents plus all the detailing of a finely crafted pair of raw Japanese selvage.  So what happens when you take that formula and invert it, making gold the dominant color and switching denim to select accent hits?  Only good things, as evidenced by this new Nike Air Force 1 Low in Jersey Gold with Sport Red accents, a look that utilizes a denim-like twill on its underlay while smooth leather rests on top

Kobe Bryant was ‘supposed’ to match Michael Jordan’s six championship rings and two three-peats last season, but instead, the Black Mamba is back in the hunt for that elusive one for the other thumb against an array of hungry young talent unmatched during his time in the league.  Kobe will need all the help he can get without Lamar Odom or Dwight Howard, so having an ally in something as ferocious as a great white shark certainly wouldn’t hurt to have at your disposal.

Kobe Bryant has at times been accused of being a lone wolf, an assassin-type whose main concern is his own dominance, and who will let once-in-a-lifetime partnerships fall to the wayside at the expense of ego games.  But Kobe proved to be a consummate leader in guiding the Los Angeles Lakers to two championships in the late ’00s, and has established himself as the greatest Laker of all time, even in the eyes of ‘The Big AARP’ to whom we alluded.

Chances are you got to experience first-hand the Jordan Brand launch of the Air Jordan 2012 that took over Sneaker News yesterday, but there’s a new development on the rise – the Air Jordan 2012 Lite. It features a similar design to the Air Jordan 2012 , but re-tooled with a one-piece lightweight upper with visible Flywire, using apt color-blocking to replace the luxurious wing-tip perforated leather/suede panels seen on the original

Sneakerheads had January to catch our breaths after an utterly immense spread of heat during the holiday season, but Nike has cranked it back up already to the point where it’s almost starting to feel like Christmas in February.  From the Black History Month 2012 models to those commemorating this year’s NBA All-Star Game and a bunch of key drops in between, February has brought us a ton of pleasant surprises including the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’ releasing along with the rest of the ASG buffet.  Once thought to be a concept sample never to see the light of retail, this first-ever application of a graphical print to the original Foamposite silhouette keeps in line with the NASA-inspired theme, and might just be the single most impressive design we’ve seen for NBA All-Star 2012

The NBA headlines continued over the last two days, as some major milestones were reached by two of the greatest players of this generation. Both Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce moved up on their team’s respective all-time scoring list this week, further padding their Hall Of Fame resumes with impressive marks. The Jeremy Lin show continued in New York City as the Harvard grad continued to show the promise he first displayed in the 2010 Summer League games, while Kevin Durant and the Thunder stopped a magnanimous effort by Monta Ellis , who dropped 48 points in a loss

A quick check at the laundry list of outstanding achievements etched onto the sole of the Air Jordan X ‘Old Royal’ makes it clear that these are fit for a king. And while a more recent NBA superstar may have latched on to that moniker, we all know he’s a long ways away from ever catching up with His Airness. Landing right in the middle of a crazy month for sneaker releases, this colorway grabs the standard blocking and updates it with a few tones that never made their way onto the original string of Air Jordan X releases.
