Last time we gave you a look at the adidas Originals Munchen (aka Munich) , we mentioned the timely nature of their return what with the 40th anniversary of the Munich Olympics going down this year. It looks like that was a birthday the Three Stripes team wasn’t going to let slide by, as the are ramping up retro treatment for this OG silhouette for Spring 2012.

In describing the most recent adidas Originals ZX 8000 release, we noted that they looked more like the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ than their own OG colorway with that same nickname.  This latest release swings the pendulum back in the opposite direction, opting to vary from the original Eight Thousands by switching up the blocking pattern and trading blue for Super Green.

February is upon us, but the sneaker heat in the NBA doesn’t stop. Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics wore the Air Jordan XIII ‘Ray Allen’ , Blake Griffin continued his dunking ways, and Al Harrington flashed his Nike LeBron 9 iD for all to see. Chris Paul wore a PE colorway of the Jordan CP3.V , previewed earlier during the Sneaker News trip back home.

No other brand comes within a space shuttle ride of Nike’s command of historically significant colorways, but The Brand with the Three Stripes does indeed have its own fair share of signature looks.  From the royal and blue that has come to envelop Originals releases to the crisp green-on-white from Rod Laver and Stan Smith’s sigs, adidas made their mark on the early days so that designs like this  adidas Originals Decade Mid OG  will be remembered forever.  You get quintessential 1985 styling on this model, from its simple primary color scheme to the classic ‘X’ ankle, and you can see this living legend from a bunch of different angles after the jump.

When we first gave you a look at the adidas Skateboarding Ciero , the resulting reaction seem to point at a piqued level of interest for adidas’ take on action-sports sneakers. As promised these have shown up in the first quarter, with the first colorway you’ve got a chance to snag being this classic black and white combo.

Nothing about Jeremy Scott ’s adidas Originals by Originals is about blending into the background, so you might have already seen these in the distance when viewing some of our other previews from Bread & Butter Berlin.  The  Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals JS Hiking Boot  pictured above is easily the wildest take on this traditional trail design yet, a neon green macro croc patent leather explosion whose black sole and eyelets and pink-outlined purple branding make these look like part of a lasertag/paintball uniform.
