“I think this shoe helps me because it’s lightweight and doesn’t restrict you at all.” He can’t workout with the other Clippers and signing for a pittance to play overseas would be a flat-out dumb move for a guy with so much potential for a long, illustrious career in the NBA, so the lockout seems to have Blake Griffin playing around with NIKEiD quite a bit this summer. We just showed you the Griffin’s Trainer 1.3 Mid iD he mocked up with a LA-home look and now it’s the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 he helped to usher in that gets the ‘Blake Show’ treatment

In 1989, Back To The Future II was released – a sequel to the iconic original that concluded its story with Marty McFly and Doc Brown returning to an alternate life in present day 1985. In contrast with the original film, Back The The Future II focused on moving forward in time – October 21st, 2015 to be exact – when Marty must save his future children. In this futuristic world, Marty encounters some new and improved gadgets, like the hovering skateboard and the Nike Mag – a state of the art Nike sneaker that featured a hands-free self-lacing system

Although we’ve already made the transition to the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011, last year’s Hyperdunk flagship still made noise in 2011 thanks to a look at the unreleased ‘McFly’ colorway . The original Nike Hyperdunk was in fact inspired by the fictional Nike Mag that was featured in the classic Back To The Future film franchise, and so the ‘McFly’ version of the Hyperdunk was born and became one of the most coveted sneakers in recent years

The Nike Hyperdunk debuted in summer 2008 as the first basketball shoe to utilize Flywire and Lunar foam, and we’ve seen both applied to almost everything imaginable in the intervening three years.  Lunarlite shifted to LunarLon and that lightweight cushioning has been popping up in everything from running to skateboarding sneakers this year and now we have the first Nike Basketball release with a full-length LunarLon sole.  No Flywire here, but take a gander at the Nike Lunar Hypergamer , a combination of Hyperfuse and LunarLon that’s gotta be among the lightest basketball shoes on the market.  Click through to see more of this black and Treasure Blue colorway, let us know what you think of the new Lunar Hypergamer and stick with Sneaker News for the US release dates.  via sevens Nike Lunar Hypergamer Black/Treasure Blue 469756-002 Read the rest of Nike Lunar Hypergamer – Black – Treasure Blue © Sneaker News , 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us

The Nike Hyperdunk and Hyperfuse 2011 flagship models have been keeping the Nike Basketball news-wire buzzing, but we should take notice of the Nike Lunarflow Hypergamer – the first Lunar-cushioned Nike Basketball shoe. The Lunarflow Hypergamer features a considerably thicker LunarLon cushioning unit that should be able to withstand the harder ground-striking that occurs from jumping around, and the full rubber outsole should provide the necessary traction required for running and gunning up and the court (and let’s not forget the benefits of a Hyperfuse upper).

he Nike Hyperdunk series has been among the most popular choices for NBA players since its debut in 2008 when Kobe Bryant was the first to wear the groundbreaking Flywire-reinforced design.  Kobe rocked the OG Hyperdunks in the NBA regular seasons sandwiching his contribution to the USAB Olympic gold medal team in 2008 but then departed for his own revolutionary design, leaving the Hyperdunk without a specific signature athlete for a few years. But then LA Clippers rookie sensation Blake Griffin came along and dunked over a Kia, and now we’re looking at one of the single most significant colorways in the entire series’ history, Griffin’s Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 player exclusive.  This earthquake-detailed perfect ’10.0′ comes in a blistering red shade that reveals its crackly texture under the right light, though the same texture always wraps the heel counter and gives way to a unique speckle on the midsole.  This seems fitting as the model is now compelling from every literal and figurative angle, but only 30 pairs have popped up on NikeHK’s Skinner Box-like landing page this week; will we get a chance to finish off a similar oop thanks to an assist from US retailers?  Click through to see more angles and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible US release date for the Blake Griffin Hyperdunk 2011.  via Kenlu . Sneaker News just alerted you to the availability of the ‘Think Pink’ LeBron Soldier V, its Pinkfire Light shade the third in the series after Pinkfire II made the ‘Think Pink’ Hyperdunk 2010 into more of a metallic torch than a flower with which its name is similar.  The Nike Hyperdunk 2011 pictured above isn’t a clear WBCA-affiliated release (note the lack of ribbon insignia), but it does indeed seem to reprise the metallic pink shade that made the HD2010s so impressive.  Time will tell whether these are a WMNS release or done in mens sizes, but you can click through to see if you like them right now.  Let us know what you think and stick with Sneaker News for updates on these and all Nike Basketball release dates.  via Weibo / HC Read the rest of Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 – Pink – White © Sneaker News , 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us
