Being that both models carry roughly the same silhouette, there’s naturally some confusion between the Nike Blazer Mid and High.

The  Nike Blazer High Suede Vintage  has been released in Quickstrike form each of the last two autumns, this latest drop picking up a Low along with all the pieces that may have been left behind from making the earlier pairs.  Each piece of both pairs of these  VNTG Blazer Quickstrikes  can be seen to have originated on a previous release, this spring’s four-pack most prominently featured with three of its pairs represented across these two new drops.  Also notable in this melange of slightly beat-up suede is the presence of last fall’s Gold Dart and Spice colors spanning both pairs.

The Nike Blazer Vintage is one of those pillars of the Nike Sportswear catalog that you can count on pretty much every quarter since they debuted in early 2009. The formula to this point had been simple enough: combine a single-colored suede (or leather, in the case of just two pairs) upper with a leather Swoosh plus pre-yellowed laces and soles (all in Sail), apply the VNTG tag and you’re good to go. But what would happen if several of the recent releases were combined into one

The first set of Nike Blazer Low Suede Vintage colorways released this July in some appropriately patriotic colorways, but what shold we expect from Nike Sportswear now that the red-white-and-blue holidays are out of the way?

Some six centuries after their decline, the Aztecs are back and ready to make a conquest of their own, only this time, instead of taking back their land from Spanish invaders, it’s an Aztec invasion aimed squarely at Beaverton, Oregon.

The Nike Blazer VNTG series has become a popular staple from Nike Sportswear over the past few years and this fall saw a couple of notable changes.  The most recent drops were the first Vintage Blazer Highs to come with tonal laces and tongues and saw the initial Blazer Low VNTG releases.  These two colorways for next summer keep the same tonal tongue/white laces look as those recent lowtops, black and Varsity Red keeping things about as simple as you could want, with the typical VNTG pre-yellowing some have called superfluous absent on these.

Liberty of London ‘s latest collaboration with Nike Sportswear has been considerably larger than in previous years.  Both in terms of the number of releases and the chunk of calendar it’s taking to get them all to retail, this new Liberty x NSW pack tops all earlier efforts, and a new batch has just hit Nike Harajuku in Tokyo.  We’ll start our look at this new trio with the Nike WMNS Dunk High Skinny, which features the same almost Dalek-like pattern as the Blazer Lows that also just arrived.  There’s one more Blazer to complete the set, a Mid in a bright swooping design that was also a part of an AF1 Low, and you can see all of them by clicking on the jump below. Sneaker News’ look into the Nike Sportswear Holiday 2011 footwear collection last week appeared to contain the first images of the new Nike Blazer Low Vintage , but could we see a pair before the rest of that run is ready?  Check out this duo of new Blazer Lows, the Obsidian pair of which bears the undeniable yellowing of oxidation found on the soles of NSW VNTG releases.  This aged treatment leaves the Team Red pair feeling like night and day, though both do indeed share lush suede on their uppers along with the classic ‘unfinished’ nylon tongue.  Click on the jump below for more shots of both pairs, let us know which you prefer and pre-order one or both of them in advance of the July ship date from End . Here’s another unofficial ‘pack’ from Nike Sportswear, a collection of Nike Blazers with similar design cues but haven’t been unified with a common inspiration or referential theme.  These Blazer Lows keep it basic by offering two-toned colorways atop white soles, their uppers divided between a base color on the side panels and an accent shade on the toe, tongue and heel tab.  The almost hiking-style corded laces are quite distinct but the most distinguishing feature on this set would have to be the deep perforations that make up their Swooshes, a series of circular punches that goes so far as to reveal your choice of socks.  Today we have new images of the red/white pair we showed you last week along with a new edition in grey/black, so click through to see both and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates.  via EST Premium Nike Blazer Low Varsity Red/Light Bone 371760-601 Matte Silver/Black 371760-014 Read the rest of Nike Blazer Low – Perforated Swoosh Pack © Sneaker News , 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us
