Remeber that day in late October when Sneaker News showed you  LeBron James wearing  the  Kentucky Wildcats Nike Air Max LeBron VII  on an Akron, Ohio court along with Kevin Durant in a pair of his upcoming Zoom KDIVs?  Turns out that was just the tail end of a workout that started in the weightroom, continued to the football field and concluded at these guys’ home away from home.  It sounds grueling, and especially for a LeBron battlign a chest cold, you can see the amount of energy it takes to maintain peak form.

The Nike LeBron 9 ‘Kentucky’ is set to debut tomorrow , but let’s take a look back at another Nike LeBron Kentucky PE – the Nike Air Max LeBron VII . The Kentucky Wildcats debuted that sick patent-leather PE on February 1st, 2010, when LeBron James himself sat courtside during a game.

The idea for NCAA-inspired colorways of the Nike LeBron 9 actually goes back to the Nike Air Max LeBron VII , when three ‘TB’ inspired colorways released for Kentucky, Ohio State, and Clemson (though not officially, but t hose three schools rocked ‘em proudly during the 2010 March Madness Tournament ). Then again, many of the LeBron take-down models from the Zoom Soldier line were also made in various team-oriented colorways, but the LeBron 9 is the first time an actual PE was made for specific schools ( check out the Miami Hurricanes PE from yesterday )

Given the growing range of nice colorways for the Nike Air Max LeBron Ambassador IV , many of you might be having a hard time coming to grips with the Asia-exclusive status of this sneaker. Riding shotgun in LeBron James ‘ footwear lineup, this silhouette has been grabbing a lot more attention after LeBron rocked them throughout his tour of China . This upcoming black and yellow colorway seems to borrow a bit from the recently resurrected Nike LIVESTRONG line, pairing a mostly black get up with the right amount of blazing yellow and white

If you grew up watching the NBA in the 90′s, the likelihood that you were a fan of Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway is fairly high.

LeBron James cites Michael Jordan as one of his influential idols, symbolized by his ’23′ jersey in High School and during his Cleveland Cavaliers days and his penchant for Air Jordan sneakers. As part of a tribute to his heroes, which also included 90′s generation sports icons Anfernee Hardaway and Deion Sanders , Nike created a special set of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII , unreleased the public (shocking, isn’t it), inspired by famous signature sneakers of each of the acclaimed heroes

Few folks pop up in our Celebrity Feet features more than rapper Wale , the DC representative who has been stacking shoe boxes long before he made a name for himself in hip-hop. And while Wale has been known to show up in Foamposite models long before their release date, he seems to be leaning towards the LeBrons as of late. Last week he was spotted in the Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘Christ The King’ PE and he has followed suit at another Heineken Red Star Access event with the Nike LeBron 8 V/2 Low ‘Solar Red’ , one of the hotter low tops from the LeBron line this year.

With LeBron James on tour in China literally filling the role suggested by the shoe’s title, it’s a good time to check out the Nike Air Max LeBron Ambassador IV .  The LeBron Ambassador series has been an Asia-Pacific exclusive in its three year run, though sneakerheads who have found pairs available from online retailers will again be pleased with the range of colors available for a relative bargain.  The design features Zoom Air forefoot/Max Air heel cushioning and an XDR outsole for streetball-read durability, Flywire on the upper bringing the Ambassador up to snuff with the flagship Nike LeBron series (should we go ahead and pencil in carbon fiber and/or Hyperfuse for the Ambassador V?).  Click through to see more of these four colorways and stick with Sneaker News for word on their availability.  via HC Read the rest of Nike Air Max LeBron Ambassador IV – Upcoming Colorways © Sneaker News , 2011.

Celebrity sneakerhead and hip-hop artist Wale is known to rock some sneakers well in advance of release dates, but his latest appearance, which was for a live performance at the Heineken Red Starr Access Present Roc Nation event in Philly, wasn’t exactly of the ‘these ain’t out yet’ category. “Matching” his throwback Padres uniform and military-inspired pants was the Nike Air Max LeBron VII ‘Christ The King’ PE , a sneaker that released at House of Hoops locations last year . Despite having a connection with the prep school in Queens, NY, the Christ The King LeBron VII was widely popular for its resemblance to the Cavaliers’ wine/gold jersey colorway, and clearly Wale as a soft spot for these because he definitely dug deep in his sneaker closet for these.
