Minty and teal shades have been hugely popular in recent sneaker designs, their popularity owing to the combination of the ‘South Beach’ phenomenon and the fact that they compliment so many colors so well, that they can both appear on a huge variety of sneaker palettes and mix with so many different clothing options. This new  Nike Air Max 90 for summer 2012  in Granite with  Lush Teal  and New Green accents is a perfect example, its appearance all at once eye-catching and suitable to pair with basically every non-green color (and even some of those, chosen carefully). Have a closer look after the jump below and find yours at Nike Sportswear retailers like  Oneness .

The VT madness has cooled down a bit since its peak point last year, but we’re still seeing models pop up here and there with the vacuum packed looked.

With even more crazy material combos on deck for this hallmark of Air Max design, the patent leather look as shown here is beginning to seem more and more standard by comparison. The all new black/golden sash Nike Air Max 90 gets the patent touches pretty minimally, sweeping up the mudguard and side swoosh and blocked in such a way that it doesn’t particularly pop. What do pop are the vibrant hits of golden sash that give it an almost KAWS-like look

Dank Customs  just applied the ‘Entourage’ Air Force 1 motif to the unlikely Air 180 for the upcoming Sole Search sneaker scavenger hunt, but might his latest application of an instantly recognizable color/texture combo be even more impressive?  The Nike Air Max 90 ‘N2THA0 217′ custom takes its name from sneaker collector Norm Dawson’s birthday (which he just so happens to share with one Michael Jeffrey Jordan), but  its look is utterly ’112′ .  These take the Neon AM95-plus-Elephant formula  made famous by DJ Clark Kent  and apply it to the Air Max 90 silhouette (Elephant being practically unprecedented on the AM90), adding embroidered branding, a custom shoebox and an info card hangtag that collectively lend these a serious sense of professionalism.

The Nike Air Max 90 got bumped up a few points in the ‘sporty’ category when Nike Sportswear introduced the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse last Fall. It returns once again, but will with a retrograde concept, as it employs suede – a material typically reserved for ‘Lifestyle’ footwear – on the mudguard to create a unique contrast of materials. Four colorways will be available soon – all of which combine the sportiness of Hyperfuse with the suede material for a unique mix that we might not have expected.

The latest  ladies’ Nike Air Max 90  to enter the spotlight on Sneaker News was a fresh take on pink and shrink whose multitonal approach represents a huge leap compared to the way that term was used years ago. And now that we’ve got that base covered, how about another new pair of WMNS Air Max 90s aimed squarely at a feminine taste? That’s exactly what we get with this new pair in purples plus white on the mesh and midsole, a design that utilizes the new Province Purple shade Nike has used on a few womens’ releses this spring

The old ‘pink and shrink’ tactic seems to be in effect with this new Nike Air Max 90 for the ladies , but we can’t even be mad given how good the smooth rouges mix in with the white and tan sectioning on the upper. In fact the colorway is so high energy you can almost think of it as an ‘Infrared’ counterpart for the sneakerheads with two X-chromosomes. Among the key reasons the  Nike Air Max 90  is still going strong some twenty-two years after its initial release is the utterly massive quantity of colorblocking options it can manifest. Taking nothing away from the distinctive Max Air cushion, the classic ’Infrared’ colorway or any of the subtler details, but it’s this model’s supreme versatility that sees it outnumber most of the other classic runners, and one of many formulas is on display today with this new release.

A few years ago, Nike Sportswear released the ‘Vivid Blue’ colorway of the Air Max 90 at chain retailers – a release that quickly got picked up by Air Max 90 fanatics and demand a pretty penny today. Can’t remember what they look like? Just picture this same Air Max 90 here, but with a ‘Vivid Blue’ tone (kinda like today’s ‘Neptune Blue’).

We haven’t seen a new Nike Air Max 90 Current hit US retailers since 2010, but unlike the vast majority of Free-infused hybrids from Nike Sportswear to this point in history, it’s enjoying a second go-round.  Perhaps this is thanks in part to the Air Current’s retro release some twenty-plus odd years in the making, but even that forward thinking cult classic can’t compare to the awe inspired by the new pair of AM90 Current VTs above.
