Nike Running already proved they’re playing by new rules when they brought back the Air Max 2009 to NIKEiD so soon after a relatively quiet stint during the title year.  So while we wait for the Air Max 2012 to pop up with online customization options , it’s not entirely shocking that a new round of Nike Air Max+ 2011 iDs is also approaching.

The  Nike Air Max+ 2011  was designed to go all the way. All the way from the starting line until you lap back around (and again), all the way from January to December, and across the entire spectrum from tonal and monochromatic designs to  bold high-contrast colorways  like the one pictured above. The combination of Treasure Blue and black is the kind of thing that’ll have you wondering if one more blue Zoom Rookie could be a good idea, and running would be a great way to spend the extra downtime you have now that we can only reminisce about the NBA.

Don’t blink, because these could be gone in a flash. Nike Running presents the Nike Air Max Flash Pack – a high-energy set of its flagship runners in four electrifying colorways. Included in this set is the Nike Air Max 2011 , Air Max Alpha , and the Retro-inspired Air Max Navigate – each finely-tuned performance model colored-up in two-toned combinations highlighted by neon Volt, scorching Solar Red, and more.

At a point in the year when the last few renditions had us enjoying casual leather looks and peering into the crystal ball for a peek at what’s next, the  Nike Air Max+ 2011  continues to crank out the heat. The key with many of these especially dope recent drops has been  tonal palettes , and even on paper this one appears strong thanks to the precedent set by an equally hot ACG Zoom Meriwether. The underlay of this Air Max 2011 is the classic Volt color instead of the newer High Voltage as in the case of those Meriwether boots, but both pairs show you how well vibrant yellow-greens pair with earthier verdant shades, and you can see more angles on this one after the jump below

Nike has done the Halloween colorways more explicitly in the past, namely with the ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ Nike SB Dunk Low , but this season they’ve kept it simple with the clean combo of black/orange as a nod to October 31st. We saw the Nike Air Max 95 wearing this get up a few weeks back, and now the much more contemporary Nike Air Max+ 2011 dons the Halloween colors with a black upper that reps the ‘total orange’ on the swoosh, lining, and full-length Max Air unit.

We’ve reached the point in its product cycle that you’d typically expect to see casually-oriented leather-uppered releases, but because we already got the first LTR  Nike Air Max 2011+  in addition to the highly technical nature of its build, new performance colorways are still hitting retailers.  Two new colorways each have hit  Nike Harajuku  for mens and womens sizes, each gender’s offerings split evenly between tonal and higher contrast two-toned colorups.  Click through on the jump below so you can see each of the four pairs in greater detail and stick with Sneaker News for word on their US availability.

If it were any other year, LeBron James would be down in Miami (or in Cleveland, if we’re talking pre-Summer of 2010) training with his teammates. But with the NBA lockout placing the 2011-12 season aside, the league’s superstars have some extra time on their hands, and LeBron James was caught strolling the streets of New York City, donning Nike LeBron gear from head to ankle and the Nike Air Max 2011 from ankle to toe. Perhaps he’s staying on location of where the NBA negotiations are being held, but until the lockout gets resolved, expect to see more of LeBron James in street-clothes and not in Miami Heat uniforms

The lion’s share of the Nike Air Max+ 2011 colorways we’ve seen to date have a decent degree of contrast to them, whether it be via the side Swoosh or a colorful outsole. Here’s something a bit different, a tonal design for the latest in the Air Max legacy that blends in the recently popular total orange with the so called “max orange”

The Air Max JR recently released in a black and Freshwater colorway reminiscent of the OG Air Griffey Max 1 colorway from 1996, and now here’s a model that if it only had a bit of red, would be a suitable addition to a new power trio.

If past years were any indication, July’s introduction of a leather bodied Nike Air Max+ 2011 would suggest that the Swoosh is winding down production for this year’s flagship runner with plans to introduce its successor early in the coming year and with a bang.  That last part is probably true, but judging by the latest Air Max 2011 to hit retail, it’ll be quite a while before we stop seeing new colorways from this model.  And we’re quite happy about that given how well this black and Binary Blue combo came together (wouldn’t be the same without the Volt tongue tag).  Click through to see more angles and pick up a pair today from FinishLine .
