In our last preview of the  Air Jordan VII Retro ‘Olympic’  slated for July, we noted that 2004 and ’10 releases preceding these makes this particular colorway one of the most commonly seen OGs over the years.  And to this point in history, most of our previews of the forthcoming drop have been grade school sizes, made evident by their five eyelets below the ankle (the mens have six).

With this year marking two decades since the original Dream Team debuted, we can expect plenty of retro goodness from both Nike Sportswear and Jordan Brand.  Keep an eye out for a variety of classic Olympic looks from NSW, as well as tons of Air Jordan Retro heat from JB, including one of the original Air Jordan VII colorways from 1992.   The Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Charcoal’ is sometimes called ‘Raptor’ for its use of a Toronto-style color scheme, but this model’s debut three years before Canada’s only remaining NBA squad means that the name doesn’t perfectly fit the original

In 2008, Jordan Brand embarked upon a year-long monthly schedule of Collezione Package releases. As you all know very well by now, each of the Collezione Packages featured two Air Jordan models, with their numbered designations totaling the number 23. Some of the packages featured an Original colorway of an Air Jordan paired with a new Retro+ Chicago Bulls-based rendition, which might’ve been the case for the Air Jordan 7/16 Package .

Albert Pujols is conspicuous by his absence atop the early season National League batting statistics charts and his St. Louis teammates have stumbled out of the gate, but we know that at least one Cardinal will be around come playoff time.  Ok, so we’re actually talking about the NBA Playoffs, but no one would argue against the Air Jordan VII Retro ‘Cardinal’ topping the list for highly anticipated summer sneakers.  These joints offer a bold alternative to the other white kicks we’ve seen for the warm months, their Cardinal Red, black and Bronze accents also a nice twist on the classic ‘Bred’ palette.  Click through to get a look at some new images and stick with Sneaker News for updates on this June 18th release .  via in52 Air Jordan VII Retro ‘Cardinal’ Style: 304775-104 Color: White/Bronze-Cardinal Red-Black Release Date: June 18th, 2011 Read the rest of Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Cardinal’ – New Images © Sneaker News , 2011. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us

Had they not gotten a fresh Air Jordan 2011 PE, you might have seen a perfect match between the above pictured model and Oak Hill Academy for Saturday’s NHSI championship game.  But the Air Jordan VII ‘Year of the Rabbit’ isn’t a model that will accommodate any expected timing, be it a big game or the Chinese New Year celebration.  But that doesn’t matter when you’re talking about a design as impeccable as this white/grey, red and gold colorup, one that’s both similar to the iconic ‘Hare’ AJ7 and in a class all its own thanks to the unique uni-colored tongue and inner medallion.  These are one of the most hotly anticipated releases in a 2011 that’s become a banner year for the Air Jordan 7 , and those lucky enough to wear US mens size 8.5 can grab yours well in advance of the US release date thanks to Marquee Sole .
