Jordan Brand continues to expand its summertime catalog as we approach the London Olympic summer and the 20th anniversary of Michael Jordan and his Dream Team-mates taking Barcelona by storm. The latest Olympic Air Jordan is this year’s flagship in its sleeker rendition, the more angular and less wingtip-leaning Air Jordan 2012 Lite .

Though it may be a while (if ever) for an Air Jordan Retro to hit Nike iD, Jordan Brand has been rather liberal with its holy models, opening the main vault with the Air Jordan 2011 one year ago. It was followed by this year’s Air Jordan 2012, which launched in February, and the Jordan Spiz’ike, which is set for a release tomorrow ; we’ve seen some nibbles of the Spiz’ike iD potential with those quick teaser shots, but be assured that the Spiz’ike iD is poised to take a huge bite out of your wallet! The Jordan Spiz’ike iD launches tomorrow, so let us know what dream colorways you’ve been dying to mock up and get crackin’ once the Jordan Spiz’ike iD goes live! Debuting this May 2012 is the Jordan Blazin’ – a low-cut uber-breathable performance basketball shoe that combines a lightweight Hyperfuse-like cut-out upper with a recycled Air Jordan 2011 outsole. It’s a viable option for low-cut sneaker aficionados – particularly if you enjoyed the Air Jordan 2011 Q Flight. Additional angles of these two upcoming colorways of Black/White-Varsity Red and White/Metallic Silver-White lie just ahead, so take a good look and watch for these to hit stores this May at an MSRP of $110.

Following a similar trend set up by the Air Jordan 2011 and its respective A and Q versions , the Air Jordan 2012 looks to be getting at least one sidekick for the Holiday 2012 season. The model previewed is the Air Jordan 2012 Lite EV, an overall stripped down version of the latest flagship silhouette that sees the wingtip design cut in favor of a lightweight Flywire setup on the upper

‘Dominate Another Day’ was one of the James Bond sendups in the Air Jordan 2011′s online marketing push, but the concept doesn’t only apply to last year’s flagship.  You’ve got to get ready for the game with serious training, and that’s where the Jordan Trunner Dominate comes in.

The Jordan Classic 23 came onto the scene as one of the earlier lifestyle releases that borrowed many of the signature elements of an Air Jordan Legacy classic, but just like most of the others that came between then and the still-enduring CMFT series, these got the axe somewhere along the way.  It looks like we’ll be seeing new pairs coming up in the next few months, though, as the tag on this sample pair reveals a summer 2012 scheduled release.  This new Classic 23 AC CNVS built in Military Blue canvas, though there’s still a cupsole on the bottom of these instead of the autoclaved/vulcanized bottoms the name would suggest.

There was more wheelin’ and dealin’ in the NBA over the course of two nights as we got a look at some great match-ups (Bulls vs. Celtics) while enjoying more of the Linsanity that has taken over Madison Square Garden. Knicks phenom Jeremy Lin showed a pass-first dimension of his game, tallying 13 assists while bringing Lob City to the East Coast while wearing the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse Low .

Did any NBA ballers partake in what might be the biggest sneaker release day ever ? We did spot a bunch of players wearing the Air Jordan X ‘Old Royal’, but that was just the tip of the iceberg because this weekend might’ve been the most heat-filled week of the season. Jordan Crawford, who has quietly built a solid rep as a sneakerhead to look out for, wore the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Metallic Red’, while new pick-up Reggie Williams of the Charlotte Bobcats wore the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Year Of The Dragon’
