Records are meant to be broken, and apparently the theme of shattering limits extends to sneaker releases.  Perhaps never before has it been more poetic to see a sneaker with a super-limited drop make its way to wider retail availability as with the Ray Allen Air Jordan XIII PE .  This green and white Thirteen is the same as the ones Sugar Ray was wearing when he broke the NBA’s all-time three-pointers record , adding yet another chip to Jordan’s side of the scale versus Reggie Miller.  These Jordan 13s were expected only in Boston with the 1 anniversary of Miami’s SoleFly also commanding a small run, but Finish Line has just tweeted that they’ll have the Ray Allen Air Jordan 13s “online only at some point.”  Well, at least they were specific about the not needing to line up part.  Click through for more details with Sneaker News for the exact Air Jordan XIII ‘ Ray Allen ‘ release date.

That the nickname ‘Sugar Ray’ was reappropriated for him and often seen on his earlier Jordan Brand player exclusives was always a perfect fit for Ray Allen , a man whose stroke is so sweet that the milestone commemorated by the above pictured pair was only a matter of time and good health.  Nobody works harder than the Boston Celtics’ shooting guard and it’ll be a long time before someone comes along to break the mark he set this February in the Air Jordan XIII PE .  This model is a Beantown take on the OG AJ13s, a white tumbled leather and green suede beauty finished off nicely with ‘Ray’ embroidery in place of the typical Jumpman.  Click through to get a look at this model set to release on July 9th in Miami and later on the 23rd  at Boston’s House of Hoops, and check out the pairs available right now from Kicks-lab . Word out of Charlotte is Michael Jordan has been participating in Bobcats scrimmages and coach Paul Silas has gone so far as to say that “If he got in shape he could probably average about 15 to 20 points a game, no question, because he still has the shot.”  It seems absolutely insane to imagine a forty-seven (48 on Thursday) year old MJ back in the NBA, especially since the Bobcats are poised to return to the playoffs even without his Airness.  But then again, when you consider what happened the last time Mike laced up his Air Jordans for an NBA Playoff run, the idea is downright tantalizing.  The same can be said of the above pictured Air Jordan XIII Retro , a sneaker that earned its nickname as Jordan’s home playoff sneaker in 1998.  So one way or another, Jordan and Playoffs are coming together and you can get a better look at new Dunk pics of the upcoming Air Jordan 13 release when you click on the jump below.  They’re slated to hit US retailers on Saturday, February 26th, but you can get yours early now on eBay . Young boys can be like (baby) bulls in china shops, perhaps even more in Chicago shoes?  The Air Jordan 13 Retro GS ‘Bulls’ allows your little sneakerheads to capture part of a regular season they’d normally only be able to enjoy via ESPN Classic.  Originally released in the 1997-98 campaign that saw Michael Jordan go on to win his sixth NBA championship, these joints have retained the vibrant suede and rich white leather of the originals.

The OG Air Jordan XIII colorways released in late 1997 and into ’98, but we’ve never seen a period so full of this model as Holiday 2010.  The Flints and Altitudes recently dropped with the Playoffs right around the corner, and now we have one OG retro plus another that’s brand new.  The former is the Air Jordan 13 ‘Bulls’, a mix of white tumbled leather and red suede that lit up United Center in MJ’s last season with Chicago, with the latter offering a feminized take on the playoff Thirteens with Voltage Cherry accents.  Look for both pairs of these starting this weekend; NY’s Extra Butter just got theirs and you can already grab the AJXIII ‘Bulls’ on eBay .
