Earlier this year Nike iD introduced classic Cement Grey elephant print to the Air Force 1 , but soon supplemented that option with more colorways options. Of course, none are as iconic as the original print, but Jordan Brand has toyed around with it, producing off-beat colors seen on the likes of the Black Flip and the ‘Do The Right Thing’.

Ready for some more Air Jordan heat for this Summer? Arriving at select Jordan Brand retailers in the coming weeks as a Quickstrike drop are two Air Jordan AJKO releases; the AJKO is one of the more mysterious Air Jordan models of all-time, but 2010′s re-issue proved to be wildly popular and was considered one of the best sneakers of the year.

Our recent ‘On the Fence’ look at the ‘Cool Grey’ Air Jordan 12 suggests Jordanheads are looking toward others from this insanely packed summer full of heat. Among those ‘distracting’ other drops is another of this summer’s AJXII Retros , but not just any old combination of colors

We know quite a bit about Jordan Brand’s Retro plans for this Olympic summer, but what about the ancillary designs? Not only does this new  Jordan Super Fly  feature the same distinct ‘RTTG’ inner tongue tag as the pairs we showed you early this week, but their  paisley sockliner is a dead-on match  for the Air Jordan 1s we saw just before the turn of the month.

Air Jordans have become a popular fashion statement for the sporty and casual, and during a special fundraising event this past Saturday, actress Olivia Wilde proved that anyone can rock Jordans with ease as she wore the White/Cement IV for the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women at Central Park. Wilde is also romantically involved with SNL funnyman Jason Sudeikis, who was actually spotted later that night during the SNL taping (with host Eli Manning and musical guest Rihanna) wearing the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ during the end of the show

We’re on the road to the ‘Gold Medal’ pack in addition to a bunch of other dope Olympic Air Jordans this summer, and Jordan Brand will also be bringing along a select few additional performance models as a part of the celebration. The  Jordan Super Fly RTTG  is back with another special build, one that has enough visual detail to make us forget about the relatively plain initial preview. They share a multicolor print with  an upcoming Air Jordan 1 , but instead of a black base for that DNA sequence-ish pattern, these opt for a cobalt blue upper that’s inspired by  MJ’s brief stint as a Wizard , a tenure further reflected by the ‘WAS’ boarding pass hangtag

Have we forgotten about the Air Jordan 60+ already? Not unlike the trending Son of Mars, the Air Jordan 60+ shares DNA with some of the most incredible Air Jordans ever made – particularly the ones that Jordan dropped 60 in (the Air Jordan 1, II, V, and VII). Sneaker News selected it as one of the Top 30 Sneakers of 2009  (you should take a look to see what went down that year), but since then, there hasn’t been a peep made from the foregone 60+ until now, when Diddy was seen rocking the ‘Laney’ joints while strolling around Beverly Hills

As the summer release schedule continually grows more crowded, we’re reminded of an  Air Jordan XII Retro  that’s been waiting in the wings for over fifteen years.  So even with all the ‘Gold Medal’ and otherwise Olympic attention of late, the  ‘Obsidian’ Air Jordan 12  is awaited with equal anticipation, one of the increasingly rare never-retroed Jays and a design that’s really just too beautiful to keep locked up for too much longer.  Grainy Obsidian and pebbled white leathers make for a spectacularly clean two-toned look and the select University Blue accents remind us that Jordan was doing the tonal thing long before it was a widespread trend

Sneaker customizer (and we use that term somewhat loosely)  Freehand Profit  has made a name for himself with  gasmask versions of popular kicks  since we first saw his take on the Air Jordan 1 last April.  His latest might be the most obscure design employed to date, the  Mighty Crown x Nike Sky Force 88 Lows  that commemorated the Japanese sound system’s 20th anniversary last fall.

Jordan Brand can get rather out-of-the-box and creative with their colorways , but anything that can be compared to a classic Chicago Bulls uniform will always get our attention. It’s a colorway that never gets old, and in this case, it’s on a shoe that never gets old, because while we’ve seen the Air Jordan 1 in countless forms, it never ceases to amaze. This upcoming June 2012 takes the Phat mold and uses a black tumbled leather upper with a white canvas material at the center panel, with a nice contrast provided by the red/black elephant swoosh print (all the rage on the Nike Air Force 1 iD)
