Though its application isn’t as consistent as, say, a Jumpman on Air Jordan Retros, a fairly significant portion of classic designs from Nike Sportswear come with the classic orange Swoosh on their tongue tags. Historically, this has often indicated pre-yellowed VNTG releases, but the vulcanized soles on this new  Nike Tennis Classic AC ND  are clearly far too pristine to have gotten the oxidized touch.

Air Max showed up in ACG with the Nike ACG Air Max Conquer and new joints like the Nike ACG Zoom Meriwether even got a bit of quickstrike treatment. In describing the most recent adidas Originals ZX 8000 release, we noted that they looked more like the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aqua’ than their own OG colorway with that same nickname.  This latest release swings the pendulum back in the opposite direction, opting to vary from the original Eight Thousands by switching up the blocking pattern and trading blue for Super Green.

It appears that the folks on campus out in Beaverton were so eager about the retro Griffey revival that they were keen on spreading the love around to non-baseball sigs as well. In what comes off as a little bit of a ‘peanut butter in my chocolate moment’, this new Nike LeBron 9 is poised to arrive with some very tangible influences from the Ken Griffey Jr.

The last Air Max 90 for women Nike Sportswear offered was a continuation of the VacTech collection that’d expanded throughout the fall/winter season, and while this latest edition does indeed echo a design theme we first saw on another model, it’s one that’s strictly ladies-only. The  Nike WMNS Air Max 90  is back in a bold Storm Blue leather design whose Swoosh and ankle collar feature the same kind of  snakeskin-textured camouflage print  we saw on several WMNS Air Force 1 Lows. Given how those AF1s were gradually revealed, it’s not unfathomable to imagine other colorways in a similar style, so click through to see this pair and let us know if these have any 1.5-up potential.
